Alon Lichtenstein is the founder of HANGAR49. Alon was previously the Business Development Director at SNAPPLIFY.com from October 2011 to February 2014. At SNAPPLIFY, they were part of the co-founding team that built a sophisticated SaaS technology for traditional publishers to go digital. Alon also independently launched and ran offices in London, Amsterdam, and New York City. Alon devised strategic alliances and engineered partner programmes for foreign markets.

Alon has developed and ran sales systems, defined strategies to target clients and partners, and trained and guided pre-sales teams. Alon has also pitched and won C-level clients for digital distributed content. Alon shaped the brand and communications, strategising and co-developing branding, culture, and stories to share the digital distribution of content offer internationally. Alon also launched the business, creating an ecosystem of clients, strategic alliances, and partners.

Alon has reviewed business developments and evaluated product roadmaps, sales, marketing, and operations with team to measure successes. Some of their accomplishments include partnering with NASDAQ company SPi Global and winning the largest deal 50x standard contract with MacMillan. Alon has also worked with clients such as Independent Newspapers, Rolling Stone, and Pearson. The business was profitable in 1.5 years and raised finance.

Alon Lichtenstein holds a Masters of Science Degree in Project Management from the University of Cape Town, which they obtained in 2006. Alon also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance and Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.
