Hanged Empress is the alchemy of aesthetics. We merge styles, embrace juxtaposition, and embody contrasts. Hanged Empress revels in the tension between heritage and identity, between tradition and radical self-expression. Tastefully expressing our bodies, we navigate sensuality and romance, carving nostalgia with the cutting edge. Aesthetic becomes a language, an undeniably distinctive unveiling of who we are.

We embrace the daily ritual of dressing as a sacred time of contemplation and manifestation. A ritual that extends beyond adorning the physical self. An alchemical practice, a deeply personal spell you cast upon yourself, embodying and transmitting your emotions and intentions into each garment.

True change can only come when our actions align with our principles. We strive to cultivate harmonious, ethical relationships with nature and society. Our commitment to sustainability and responsibility is not a perfected achievement but an ongoing process, reflecting our dedication to aligning our work with our core values.

Hanged Empress celebrates meticulous craftsmanship, sourcing fabrics from Italy and Japan while collaborating with independent artisans in India for intricate hand embroidery. Garments are crafted in Italy and London, with select knitwear developed through a fair-trade Peruvian organization and women-led ateliers in Italy and Romania. Rooted in sustainability, we repurpose textiles, up-cycle unsold garments, and use dead-stock fabrics from luxury houses to reduce waste. Every piece embodies circularity and ethical craftsmanship—honouring tradition, embracing responsibility, and serving as a vehicle for expression and transformation.
