Mark L. Smith, AIA Emeritus, LEED AP, is an experienced architect and owner’s representative, currently providing services for the Hanley Foundation since April 2024, focusing on campus changes for enhanced substance abuse recovery services. Previously, Mark served as Senior Vice President of Architecture and Director of Florida Operations at GHP from April 2021 to March 2024, and held the position of Vice President of Florida Operations at Gobbell Hays Partners, Inc. from November 1997 to May 2021, where responsibilities included managing architecture and environmental consulting projects across Florida. Mark has also managed architectural practices with expertise in laboratory, healthcare, hospitality, education, and assisted living projects, alongside previous roles as Project Manager at Design and Engineering, Inc. and Sole Proprietor of Mark L. Smith Architects. Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Iowa State University.
