Robert Crockett

Robert Crockett has worked in a variety of roles and industries throughout their career. Robert began in 1989 as a Systems Engineer at McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Company. In 1997, they moved to Milwaukee School of Engineering as an Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering. In 2000, they became President of Xeragen, Inc. In 2003, they started at Cal Poly State University as a Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Administrator in Charge of Research, Economic Development & Graduate Education. In 2009, they became President of Proof of Concept, LLC. In 2012, they Co-Founded HaptX Inc. In 2015, they became VP of Engineering at I-V Access Technology, Inc. and in 2016, they became Associate Dean for Innovation Infrastructure and Department Chair of Biomedical Engineering at Cal Poly College of Engineering.

Robert Crockett completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1989. Robert then went on to pursue an MBA from Pepperdine University, which they completed in 1992. Afterwards, they obtained their Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Arizona in 1997.
