Cheryl Smith

Cheryl Smith is an experienced professional in enterprise risk management and information security, currently serving as the Director of Enterprise Risk Management and HIPAA Privacy Officer at Harbor Freight Tools since December 2009. In this role, Cheryl develops a company-wide risk management program, collaborates with various teams to investigate risk issues, and oversees functionality related to risk reduction and litigation support. Additionally, Cheryl holds the position of Board President for the Harbor Freight Tools Employee Emergency Relief Fund, Inc., providing critical financial support to employees in need. Previous experience includes serving as Chief Information Security Officer at Countrywide Financial / Bank of America, where Cheryl directed the global Information Security and IT Security Governance framework. Cheryl has also contributed to the Information Systems Security Association as a Board Member and Program Director for the Los Angeles Chapter.
