Jonathan Mata

Jonathan Mata is a seasoned human resources professional with extensive experience in various roles focused on employee management, organizational design, and strategic HR partnerships. Currently serving as a Regional Human Resources Generalist at Harbor Freight Tools since March 2020, Jonathan previously held the position of HR Business Partner at Forever 21, where responsibilities included advising senior leadership on performance management and labor law compliance across multiple corporate business units. Earlier experience includes roles at American Apparel as a Human Resources Generalist/Analyst, where support was provided to over 2,500 employees, and contract work at gravitytank and internships at the John G. Shedd Aquarium and the National Opinion Research Center. Jonathan holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Chicago and an M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School.
