Danilo Canivel

Danilo Canivel is a seasoned professional in AI, Data Science, and Data Engineering, currently serving as VP at Hard Rock Digital since January 2024, leading the Data Organization to innovate through advanced machine learning models across various domains. As a co-founder and Head of Data Science at Canivel since March 2015, Danilo has invested in AI startups such as SwingVision and Overplay. Prior roles include Head of Data Science at Rackspace Technology, where Danilo focused on Generative AI solutions, and a senior technical management position at Amazon Web Services, overseeing responsible AI and machine learning implementations. Danilo’s career began in software engineering, with prior leadership positions at USMatrix Telecommunications Inc., 3w3 Web Solutions, Matrix Internet, and VISITEX. Danilo holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Data Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidade Metodista de São Paulo.
