Kosta Kotsis

Power Electronics Engineer at Hardt Hyperloop

Kosta Kotsis has a solid background in power electronics engineering and hyperloop technology. In 2018, they joined Delft Hyperloop as a Powertrain Engineer, where they played a key role in designing and producing batteries and power systems for the pod used in the SpaceX 2019 Pod Competition. Additionally, they worked on and tested the propulsion subsystem, which included the electric motor and motor controller.

In 2019, Kosta joined Hardt Hyperloop as a Power Electronics Intern, where they were responsible for the power stage design of the inverter prototype for the Booster Drive. Their tasks included conducting performance, power, and thermal analysis of transistors, as well as designing the gate driver system for the chosen transistors.

Overall, Kosta has valuable experience in power electronics design and analysis, particularly in the context of hyperloop transportation systems.

Kosta Kotsis completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Power Engineering at Universiteti Politeknik i Tiranës from 2013 to 2016. Kosta then went on to pursue their Master's degree in Power Electronics and Electrical Machines at Delft University of Technology from 2017 to 2021.
