Randy Chan has a extensive background in the publishing industry. Randy currently works at Harlequin as the Director of Channel Marketing, where they are responsible for overseeing marketing strategies and plans for literary and commercial fiction. Before this role, they held the position of Senior Marketing Manager at Harlequin. Additionally, Randy worked at Humber College as a Marketing Specialization Teacher, where they taught marketing courses to students in the Creative Book Publishing program. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Strategic and Consumer Marketing at Penguin Random House Canada, where they executed special events and promotions for Random House of Canada. Randy has also been involved in various industry events and organizations, such as serving as a panelist at Book Summit and as the Vice President of the Board of Directors at The Word on the Street Festival. Randy began their career in publishing as a Publicist at Stoddart Publishing and later worked as a Publicity Assistant at HarperCollins Canada.
Randy Chan attended Simon Fraser University in 2001 for the Book and Magazine Publishing Summer Immersion Program. Prior to that, they studied at Centennial College from 1997 to 1998, also in the Book and Magazine Publishing Program. Randy Chan completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Queen's University from 1993 to 1997.
