Andreas Bender

Andreas Bender is a Professor for Machine Learning in Medicine at Khalifa University, where they lead a research group focusing on AI and data analysis in drug discovery and chemical biology. Previously, Andreas served as an Assistant Professor for Cheminformatics at the Leiden/Amssterdam Center for Drug Research, and held various roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including Chief Technology Officer at Healx Ltd and Computational Drug Safety Team Lead at AstraZeneca. They also contributed to academia through positions at the University of Cambridge and other institutions, while engaging with multiple scientific advisory boards. Andreas continues to explore the application of machine learning in medicine and drug discovery through ongoing research and collaboration.
