Anna Cichonska

Anna Cichonska has extensive experience in data science and research. Anna is currently the Director of Data Science & Head of European Operations at Harmonic Discovery since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Nightingale Health Ltd. from March 2019 to December 2021. Anna also has experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM) from September 2020 to November 2021, and at the University of Turku from January 2019 to July 2019. Anna Cichonska's earlier work includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at FIMM from August 2018 to July 2019, as a Doctoral Student at Aalto University from September 2013 to July 2018, and as a Research Visiting Doctoral Student at Stanford University in August 2017.

Anna Cichonska has a strong background in bioinformatics and machine learning. Anna obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biotechnology with a major in Bioinformatics from The Silesian University of Technology in 2011. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in the same field from the same university, completing it in 2012. In 2012, they also attended Politecnico di Milano, although the degree obtained from this institution is unknown.

Anna's academic journey continued at Aalto University, where they pursued a Doctor of Science (Technology) degree. Anna'sresearch during this time focused on Machine Learning in Bioinformatics. Anna started their doctoral studies in 2013 and completed them in 2018.

To further augment their expertise, Anna also obtained a certification in Target Validation Using Genomics and Informatics from EMBL (European Molecular Biology Laboratory) in December 2019.
