Timothy Chu

Timothy Chu is currently the General Counsel, SVP Human Resources & Corporate Secretary at Harmonic. Timothy has held this position since October of 2013. Prior to their current role, they served as the Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Phoenix Technologies Ltd. from January 2011 to September 2013. Chu has also served as the VP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Phoenix Technologies Ltd. from May 2007 to December 2010. In this role, they were responsible for leading a 7 person legal team and worked closely with the board in negotiations with activist Starboard Value LP (formerly Ramius LLC). Timothy was also responsible for selling the company to Marlin Equity Partners following multiple rounds of topping bids by another PE firm.

Timothy Chu studied economics and Chinese literature as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan. Timothy then went on to study law at the University of Michigan Law School, where they earned their Juris Doctor degree.
