Matt Ford has a strong background in fire service management and operations. Matt began their career in 1997 with a technical engineering placement at Eurostar. From 1999 to 2005, they worked at Wormald Fire Systems, where they served as a Service Controller and later as a Business Systems Support Engineer. In 2005, Matt joined Tyco Integrated Fire & Security, where they held multiple roles, including National Service Business Analyst, Service Manager for the South East Region, and National Service Manager for Key Accounts. Matt was responsible for overseeing service activities across a wide range of customer sites and managing a team of service engineers. In 2017, they joined Hall & Kay Fire Engineering as an Operations Manager, where they led a team of regional service managers, engineers, and support staff. Matt Ford attended Kelvin Hall School from 1989 to 1994, where they did not obtain a degree or specialize in a field of study. Matt then joined Hull College from 1994 to 1996 and earned a BTEC OND in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. Following that, Matt attended Brunel University London from 1996 to 1999, majoring in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, although there is no information available regarding the degree obtained. Additionally, Matt has obtained certifications in FIA BS5839 Fire Alarm Design - Units 1, 2 & 3 and FIA F-Gas Certificate from the Fire Industry Association, as well as an IOSH Managing Health & Safety Qualification from IOSH.
