Richard Griffiths

Richard Griffiths is a Counsel at Harneys, specializing in legal practice across South-East Asia and China, as well as Europe, the Caribbean, and Africa, with notable achievements such as advising on a US$260 million management buyout involving BVI law. Previously, Richard served as a Senior Associate at Allen & Overy, focusing on financing property and infrastructure projects, particularly in Indonesia, and contributed to significant deals including a US$1 billion acquisition facility for a major merger in Russia. Richard also gained experience through two secondee positions at Barclays Investment Bank, providing legal advice on complex issues during challenging periods for the banking sector, and started his career as a Solicitor at Clayton Utz, where key projects included negotiating major infrastructure agreements for significant toll road developments in Australia. Richard holds degrees from Griffith University and QUT (Queensland University of Technology).
