Melissa Walker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both the nonprofit and publishing sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Giving Circles at The States Project, Melissa spearheads initiatives to mobilize networks for political change at the state level. Concurrently, as a Young Adult Author, Melissa has published works with notable publishers including Penguin and HarperCollins. A versatile journalist since 2002, Melissa's work has appeared in prestigious publications such as Seventeen, Glamour, and Teen Vogue, alongside creating branded content for major companies while at POPSUGAR. Melissa co-founded I Heart Daily, Inc., a platform dedicated to providing curated content for teen and young adult audiences. Previous roles include Custom Content Director at Rodale Inc. and Seventeen Prom Editor at Hearst Magazines. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Vassar College.
