Rich Thomas

Rich Thomas serves as the VP and Director of Publishing for The Harper Group at HarperCollins Children's Books since January 2017, overseeing multiple imprints and managing a team of 33 editors. With full P&L responsibility, Rich has successfully launched key initiatives like the HarperAlley graphic novel imprint and the HarperChapters chapter book line while collaborating with global publishing partners. Prior to this role, Rich held positions at Disney Publishing Worldwide, where responsibilities included leading creative direction and P&L management for major imprints, significantly increasing revenue and collaborating across various business lines. Rich's academic background includes an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelor's degree from Brooklyn College. Additionally, Rich teaches "Graphic Novels and Manga" as an adjunct professor at NYU School of Professional Studies.
