Rick Farley has extensive work experience in the field of art and design, particularly in the publishing industry. Rick has worked at HarperCollins Publishers since 2003, starting as an Art Director for children's books and eventually becoming the Associate Creative Director. In this role, they have been responsible for the creative direction of licensed movie and digital media publishing projects, working with popular franchises such as Fancy Nancy, Pinkalicious, and Splat the Cat. Rick has also collaborated with major studios and brands like 20th Century Fox, DreamWorks, and Marvel to create book tie-ins for movies and characters. Prior to their work at HarperCollins, Rick had freelance experience as a Storyboard artist and worked at companies such as Art | Design, Film Roman, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Rick also worked as an Art Director at Penguin Publishing Group, where they oversaw licensed movie and digital media publishing for iconic properties like Winnie The Pooh, Corduroy, and Madeline. Rick's earlier experience includes freelance designing and working as a Lithographer/Colorist at J.K. Fine Art Printmaker.
Rick Farley attended Parsons School of Design - The New School from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Illustration.
