Hal S. Scott

Hal S. Scott is a Professor at Harvard Law School, where they have taught since 1975, focusing on International Financial Regulation and U.S. capital market competitiveness. They are the Founder and Director of the Program on International Financial Systems (PIFS) at Harvard and also serve as Director of the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation (CCMR). Additionally, Hal holds leadership positions in various organizations, including the Council on Global Financial Regulation and Lazard. They graduated with a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and hold degrees from Stanford University and Princeton University.
