Jennifer O'Connor serves as the Vice President and General Counsel at Harvard University, a position held since July 2024. Prior to this role, Jennifer had an extensive career at Northrop Grumman from 2017 to July 2024, where various titles included Vice President of Technology and Information Law and Policy, as well as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Jennifer's previous experiences also encompass roles such as General Counsel at the United States Department of Defense, Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy White House Counsel at The White House, and Senior Counsel at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Early career positions include serving as Counselor to the Commissioner at the Internal Revenue Service and various roles in litigation at WilmerHale and Miller Cassidy Larocca & Lewin / Baker Botts, along with clerkship under Judge Judith Rogers at the U.S. Court of Appeals. Jennifer holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in American Government and International Affairs from Harvard University.
