Leonardo Neves

Teaching Fellow

Leonardo Neves currently serves as a Principal Research Engineer at Snap Inc., a position held since July 2023. Concurrently, Leonardo is a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University and will assume the role of Generative AI Instructional Design Lead at SureStart from October 2023 to December 2024, focusing on GenAI curriculum development. Previously, Leonardo was the Head of Applied Research at Grammarly, overseeing a team of 18 researchers, and held various leadership roles at Snap Inc. from 2017 to 2023, managing teams in Computational Social Science. Leonardo's earlier experience includes advisory roles, teaching positions, and research internships at institutions such as the University of California, Riverside, UCLA Extension, and Carnegie Mellon University. Leonardo holds a Master’s Degree in Intelligent Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, along with a scholarship experience at Cornell University.
