Lilly Havstad

Lilly Havstad, PhD, currently serves as a Lecturer on History and Literature at Harvard University since July 2022. With extensive experience in academia, Lilly has held multiple teaching and editorial positions, including Assistant Editor for the International Journal of African Historical Studies since January 2016, where responsibilities include evaluating research articles and guiding authors through the publishing process. Previous roles also include Postdoctoral Teaching Associate and Lecturer in the Northeastern University English Department, as well as a Lecturer at Boston University, where Lilly taught interdisciplinary writing seminars and undergraduate history courses. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a Master's degree in History from Boston University, and a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of California, Davis. Additional international research experience includes fellowships and visiting scholar positions in various institutions.
