Sara Bleich

Sara Bleich, PhD, is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in the prevention of diet-related conditions and addressing food insecurity, particularly concerning racial injustices in the social safety net. With over 20 years of experience in policy-relevant research, they have led large and diverse teams and have demonstrated a commitment to public service in the federal government. Bleich has served as a Senior Advisor for COVID at the USDA and as a Director of Nutrition Security and Health Equity, currently holds the position of Vice Provost for Special Projects at Harvard University, and is a Professor of Public Health Policy.
