Dylan Walker has a diverse work experience across various industries and roles. Dylan started their career as a Welder's helper at Colt Cord in 2003 and worked there until 2004. From 2004 to 2007, Dylan worked in Test Cell roles at TransCanada Turbines. Dylan then joined Ensign Energy Services in 2010 as a Motor Hand before moving to Ryan Directional Services in 2011 as an MWD Technician. Dylan worked there for a year, running MWD tooling in Alberta, B.C., and Saskatchewan.
In 2012, Dylan joined MEG Energy as a CSU Operator and worked there until 2014. Dylan then transitioned to the role of Operator at MEG Energy in 2015. In 2016, Dylan became self-employed and took up roles as a QA/QC Inspector and Visual Welding Inspector for the Husky Pipeline Project. Dylan also worked as a QA/QC, Welding Inspector for the Manitoba Hydro Pipeline Project. In 2017, Dylan joined MEG Energy Corp. again, this time in the role of Operations, Projects MEG Energy Christina Lake, and worked there until 2018.
Dylan's most recent role was at Harvest Operations Corp., where they worked as an Operations and Commissioning professional from 2018 onwards.
Dylan Walker's education history includes two main academic experiences. From 2004 to 2006, they attended Mount Royal University, where they pursued an Engineering Transfer Program with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. Subsequently, in 2012 and 2013, they attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), specializing in Power Engineering and obtaining a 4th Class Power Engineering degree. Furthermore, they hold an additional certification as a 3rd class power engineer from ABSA, the pressure equipment safety authority. The specific month and year in which this certification was obtained remain unknown.
