Michael Lory

Michael Lory currently serves as the Manager of Corporate Information Security at HashiCorp, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this, Michael worked at SmartThings from April 2020 to October 2023, holding roles as Manager of Information Security and Privacy and Staff Information Security Engineer. Michael's experience also includes serving as Lead Cyber Security Engineer at Target, where responsibilities encompassed conducting penetration tests on internal applications and advising on strategies with other InfoSec teams. Earlier roles include Information Security Consultant and Service Desk Analyst at CliftonLarsonAllen, as well as an IP Support Representative at Comcast Cable. Michael began a career in technology as a Contracting Tech at Depth Communications Inc. Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Minnesota and previously attended South Dakota State University for General Studies.
