Atif Bashir

Atif Bashir has a strong background in finance and auditing, with extensive experience in various roles at Plan International and its affiliated organizations. Atif started their career in 2002 as an Accounts Officer at Plan Pakistan before transitioning to the role of Internal Auditor. In this position, they conducted audits of all Plan Pakistan offices and audited Plan-funded project partners to ensure compliance and value for money. In 2007, Atif joined Plan International's Global Assurance department as a Global Assurance Associate, where they conducted audits of Plan International offices in Asia and occasionally outside the region, focusing on areas such as finance, program management, human resources, and sponsorship. Atif then progressed to the role of Global Assurance Senior, based in the regional office in Bangkok. In this role, Atif audited all 13 countries in the region, reporting directly to the international board of Plan International. Atif also led audit teams, facilitated initial audits, drafted reports, and worked as a champion in various areas, including security, risk management, and IT. Atif then took on the role of Finance Manager in Emergencies at Plan International Nigeria, a position in which they managed a portfolio of 43 million Euros for humanitarian projects in Nigeria, overseeing 15 finance staff and multiple projects in different locations. Currently, Atif is the Head of the Internal Audit Department at Hashoo Foundation, where they are responsible for leading internal audit efforts.

Atif Bashir completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Finance from F G College of Commerce from 1992 to 1995. Atif then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, General from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, from 2002 to 2004.
