Jeff Eckel is the Chairman of HASI, a role they have held since 2023. From 1999 to 2023, they served as Chairman and CEO of HASI. They were President and CEO of Wartsila Power Development from 1989 to 1995, where they helped develop over 750 MW of power projects in Honduras, Jamaica, Pakistan and China. They were President and CEO of EnergyWorks from 1995 to 1998, a multi-local energy services business providing 1st world quality power in India, Indonesia, Brazil, backed by Bechtel. They were Senior Vice President at Hannon Armstrong/Eden Hannon from 1984 to 1989, financing SEGS VII, VIII, IX—solar projects still operating in California—and a bottoming cycle cogeneration plant for DOE.
