David Tickle is a seasoned professional in urban design and cultural engagement, serving as Cultural Engagement Leader, Urban Design Sector Leader, and Principal at Hassell since December 2004. Tickle has contributed to projects in the Sydney studio and in Shanghai, while also managing the Sydney Metro project office. In addition, Tickle holds the position of Managing Principal at the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment since September 2019 and has been involved with the NSW State Design Review Panel for the Australian Institute of Architects from March 2018 to October 2023. Educationally, Tickle earned a Masters in Urban Design from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Architecture from UNSW.
