Otavio Tarelho

Otavio Tarelho has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Otavio is currently working at HatchWorks as a Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at iFood as a Software Engineer, where they gained experience in migrating services and working with banking features and integrations. Before iFood, Otavio worked at PicPay as a Software Engineer, focusing on user security and fraud prevention. At PicPay, they were responsible for maintaining security products and ensuring compliance. Otavio also worked at Avenue Code as a Software Engineer, where they built and maintained microservices and applied test-driven development. Additionally, Otavio worked at SOC - Software Integrado de Gestão Ocupacional as an Analyst Developer, Java Developer, and Java Developer Intern, gaining experience in Brazilian laws and regulations, eSocial integration, and client analysis. Otavio also had internships at the University of California, Davis and ITGO! Tecnologia as a Full Stack Intern Engineer and PHP Developer Intern respectively.

Otavio Tarelho pursued higher education in the field of Information Technology. From 2013 to 2018, they attended Universidade Católica de Santos and earned a Bachelor's degree in Information System. During this period, they also acquired technical knowledge in computer programming through the Computer Programming Course at ETEC - Escola Técnica Estadual de São Paulo from 2011 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Otavio holds several certifications. In 2019, they obtained the Mulesoft Certified Developer certification from MuleSoft. In 2020, they earned the Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate (SFPC) from CertiProf. The following year, in 2021, they received the Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE 11 Developer certification from Oracle. Lastly, Otavio is planning to obtain the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2023.
