At the heart of our practice is Dr. Robert Hatheway, a second‑generation orthodontist and respected leader in the profession. A Fredericton native, Dr. Hatheway has been shaping smiles and advancing orthodontic standards since joining his father, Dr. Donald Hatheway, in 1996. His educational background includes the University of New Brunswick, Dalhousie University, the University of Western Ontario, and the University of Toronto, where he completed his specialty training in orthodontics.
Dr. Hatheway has served in numerous leadership roles, including President of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the Canadian Foundation for the Advancement of Orthodontics, the Atlantic Orthodontic Association, and the New Brunswick Dental Society. He is also an Associate Professor at Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Dentistry, reflecting his commitment to education and clinical excellence. Beyond orthodontics, he has been recognized for his entrepreneurship, community leadership, and contributions to regional innovation and charitable organizations.
Together, our team at Hatheway Orthodontics is dedicated to delivering outstanding care, helping patients achieve beautiful smiles and confidence that lasts a lifetime.
