Sunny Yang

Sunny Yang has a strong background in software engineering, with experience in various roles and internships. Starting in 2016, Sunny worked as a Summer Camp Counselor for the City of Markham. In 2017, they became a Math Shadow Ambassador for the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. In 2019, Sunny interned as a Software Developer at NCR Corporation and as a Full Stack Mobile Developer at Fleet Complete. In 2020, they worked as a Cloud Software Developer Intern for Thomson Reuters. Sunny continued gaining experience in software development by becoming a Software Developer Intern at Thomson Reuters in 2021 and a Software Engineer Intern at Facebook later that year. In 2022, they joined Meta as a Software Engineer. Currently, Sunny is working at Haus as a Full Stack Engineer, starting in February 2023.

Sunny Yang attended Bur Oak Secondary School from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. In 2016, Sunny also obtained a certification in Principles of Healthy Child Development from HIGH FIVE Canada. Sunny then pursued their higher education at the University of Waterloo from 2017 to 2022, earning a Bachelor of Computer Science degree with a field of study in Honours Computer Science (co-op). Additionally, Sunny has a certification in Grade 8 Piano from The Royal Conservatory of Music, although the specific details of when and where this certification was obtained are not provided.
