Chris Sommella has a diverse work experience in the creative and production industry. Chris started their own company, Chris Sommella Media Producer, in 2012 where they served as the Owner and Lead Strategy, Creative, and Production. In this role, they focused on providing cost-effective productions for photography and videography, utilizing their extensive knowledge in creative, strategic, logistic, financial, legal, technical, and leadership aspects.
Between 2012 and 2013, they also worked as a Partner and Producer at kE Films, actively involved in all phases of the filmmaking process including story development, research, funding/crowdfunding, crew acquisition, scheduling, and location management. Chris also worked on strengthening the company's infrastructure and efficiently produce/marketing its motion picture productions.
Prior to that, Chris worked at Dell as a Studio Director - Photography, Video, and CGI from 2010 to 2012, where they led a team aiming to align and elevate Dell image development across multiple lines of business. Chris achieved this through creative team unification, improved production practices, implementation of new technologies, and cost reduction strategies.
Before their time at Dell, they worked at SolutionSet as a Sr. Photography Manager from 2002 to 2010. Chris also gained experience as a self-employed marketer and designer at Sommy1 Marketing and Design and as a Senior Account Executive at AGA Marketing & Design, where they were involved in all phases of transactional media production and had clients such as Chadwicks of Boston and Mercedes-Benz USA.
Chris'searly career is characterized by roles such as Senior Account Executive at Hershey Communications and Assistant Account Executive at Shasho Jones Direct, where they successfully managed accounts and maintained high creative and production standards.
Currently, Chris is working as the Chief Creative Officer at Haute Agency since 2018, where they utilize their expertise to lead the agency's creative endeavors.
Chris Sommella attended Marist College from 1991 to 1995. Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Advertising during this time.
