Andrew Cates

Andrew Cates is a macroeconomist and commentator with over 30 years of experience forecasting global economic outlooks and assessing policy implications for financial markets. Currently serving as a Senior International Economist at Haver Analytics, Andrew has previously held prominent roles, including Chief Eurozone Economist at RBS and Head of Developed Markets Economics at Nomura. Prior to these positions, Andrew spent 21 years as a Senior International Economist at UBS and worked as an Economist at HM Treasury. Andrew holds a Master of Science in Economics with distinction from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor's degree in Economics with first-class honors from the University of York.
