Jacob Martinez

Jacob Martinez is a seasoned entrepreneur and community leader, recognized for founding Digital NEST in 2014, an organization dedicated to empowering underserved Latinx youth with essential skills and resources for successful careers. Currently serving as the External Special Adviser to the Chancellor at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and as an Advisor at HawkTower, Martinez is actively involved in initiatives that foster entrepreneurship and economic growth in Central California. Additionally, Jacob Martinez holds board positions with several organizations, including the Center on Rural Innovation, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation, and Santa Cruz Works, contributing to diverse community engagement and tech accountability efforts. Jacob Martinez's educational background includes a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an M.S. in Instructional Science and Technology from California State University, Monterey Bay.
