Jake Smith

Engineering Manager

Jake Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jake began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Utah, where they contributed to the development of the Strength of Materials class laboratory curriculum and conducted various testing on carbon fiber materials. Jake then joined Easton Technical Products as a Product Development Engineer, where they focused on reducing scrap, increasing production rates, and lowering costs for arrow shafts. Within three years, they were promoted to Senior Product Development Engineer, responsible for developing new and innovative carbon fiber and aluminum arrow shafts. Smith then moved on to Reynolds Cycling, working as a Design Engineer. Jake was involved in the development of new products, utilizing 3D modeling tools and managing projects. Recently, they joined Hayes Performance Systems as an Engineering Manager, where they are currently employed. The details of their role at Hayes Performance Systems are not provided. Jake Smith attended the University of Utah from 1991 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
