Michael Freeman

Michael Freeman is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in corporate and energy law. Currently serving as a Partner at Haynes and Boone, LLP since September 2019, Michael specializes in upstream energy transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate governance. Prior to this role, Michael was a Shareholder at Winstead PC from June 2011 to September 2019 and practiced as an Attorney at Vinson & Elkins LLP from September 2004 to June 2011, focusing on similar areas of expertise. Michael holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from SMU Dedman School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English and Political Science from Emory University. Notably, Michael is an alumnus of St. Mark's School of Texas, where education was completed from 1985 to 1991.
