Matthew Rosen

Matthew Rosen is the Founder and CEO of Haystack Ag, a company established in May 2019 that focuses on reducing soil carbon testing costs for growers and markets through a systems-first approach while ensuring high-accuracy measurements. Previously, Matthew served as a Senior Engineering Consultant at GH Labs/Gates Ventures from August 2016 to August 2022, contributing to the acceleration of innovative devices in Global Health and Global Development. Earlier experience includes roles as a Mechanical Engineer & Design Lead at Intellectual Ventures Laboratory, a National Science Foundation REU Scholar at Tufts University, and an Engineering Intern at Tetra Tech. Matthew holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Integrated Design and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University. Matthew's accomplishments include participation in the THRIVE Global Accelerator and recognition with the THRIVE | Bayer Sustainable Startup Award in 2021.
