Haystack Imaging: R&D services at the intersection of crops and technology. Phenotyping, custom imaging hardware, and computer-vision software, end to end.

Your drone took 4,000 photos. We hand you the numbers.

Haystack Imaging gives breeding companies, research groups, and agtech startups access to the full sensor-to-insight pipeline without the overhead of a large integrator. Three doors in, pick one or all three:

→ Phenotyping. Per-plot NDVI, canopy cover, height, emergence, stress maps. Clean, plot-numbered, ready to drop into R, Excel, or what evver you are using.

→ Custom imaging hardware. Lab stations, UAV payloads, field loggers. PCB, enclosure, firmware: designed, soldered, calibrated, all under one roof.

→ Computer-vision software. Trained CV models, photogrammetry pipelines, APIs, dashboards. The code that connects pixels to insight, written by someone who understands both ends.

Based in Wageningen, NL. All infrastructure runs in-house on hardware we own, no AWS, no GCP, no third-party cloud. Customer data and training runs never leave machines under our control. GDPR by architecture, not by paperwork.

Founded by Moritz Nelle, an agtech engineer with a background in phenotyping research and embedded systems. One engineer, the full pipeline, one invoice at the end.
