Daniel Barreto

Daniel Barreto has had an extensive career in the tech industry. Daniel began their career in 1999 as a Staff Engineer at IBM. In 2003, they moved to Dell Technologies, where they held the roles of General Manager of the Mobile Cloud BU, Chief Software Architect, and Research Scientist and Engineering Manager. In 2011, they became a Lecturer at Stanford University's Graduate School of Engineering for the course MS&E 238. In 2012, they joined StartX. as a Lead Mentor. Finally, in 2013, they co-founded and became CEO of Haystack News, a leading OTT local & world news platform.

Daniel Barreto received a PhD in Engineering from Stanford University in 2008, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2003, an MS in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University in 2002, and a BS in Engineering from Purdue University.
