Matthew Cope has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Matthew started their career as an intern at Keramida Environmental, Inc. in 1996, where they conducted research and assisted in site assessments and remediation projects. In 1999, they joined Kellco Services, Inc. as a Certified Asbestos Consultant, conducting inspections, providing air monitoring services, and reporting on abatement projects. In 2000, they became a Senior Project Manager Consultant at HBK Engineering, LLC, a position they still hold. At HBK Engineering, they have been responsible for leading telecom programs on the East Coast and managing various projects. In 2013, they also worked at ComEd as a Project Manager, overseeing the relocation of electrical facilities on major highways in Chicago to decrease traffic congestion. Overall, Matthew Cope has a diverse range of experience in project management, environmental consulting, and engineering.

Matthew Cope attended Homestead High School from 1990 to 1993. Matthew then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources & Environmental Science at Purdue University from 1994 to 1998.
