Tanner Smith

Tanner Smith is an experienced sales and engineering leader with a strong background in technical support and application engineering within the test and measurement domain. Currently serving as Director of Sales (PT) - Americas and Head of Application Engineering at HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær since January 2019, Tanner manages a team of 18 Application Engineers, overseeing technical support, resource planning, and productivity initiatives to drive sales efforts across North America. Previous roles include Application Engineering Manager and Test and Measurements Engineer, contributing to technical support and sound and vibration analysis capabilities. Tanner began a career in engineering as a Field Sales Engineer at Bruel & Kjaer Sound & Vibration Measurement A/S and as an Electrical Engineer/Co-op at Shaw Industries, following a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
