Aaron Butterer

Aaron Butterer currently serves as the Geographic Information Systems Manager at HDR, a position held since May 2022, while also teaching as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage since January 2020. Previous experience includes roles at Alaska Railroad, where responsibilities included managing geospatial programs and land services, and at Survbase, where a variety of surveying tasks were performed. An early career position as a GIS Mapping Intern with the State of Alaska involved leading a team to update the USGS National Hydrography Dataset. Throughout the career, Aaron has developed expertise in GIS, AutoCAD Civil3D, and various surveying and mapping techniques.
