Ellen Simpson

Ellen Simpson, PE is a Traffic Engineer at HDR, with experience beginning in September 2018. Prior roles at HDR include Traffic EIT and Roadway EIT. Ellen's career includes a position as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Oregon State University from September 2016 to June 2018. Earlier experience includes serving as an Engineering Associate I at Michael Baker International, where Ellen represented the company on a significant $250 million fiber optic project and contributed as a construction management intern on the Port Mackenzie Railroad Extension. Ellen also held intern positions at Michael Baker International and Granite Construction, focusing on advanced engineering tasks including LIDAR data modeling and project coordination. Ellen obtained a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Washington State University.
