Mat Olson

Mat Olson is a Senior Financial Consultant with HDR, specializing in funding and financing strategies for infrastructure clients at various governmental levels. They have extensive experience in cost-benefit analyses, project viability assessment, policy development, and high-speed rail implementation, facilitating over $3 billion in secured funding for capital projects. Mat has also served as an advisor on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and is a current faculty member for the American Public Transportation Association’s Emerging Leaders Program. They hold a Master's in Public Administration with a focus on project finance and transportation issues, while also previously working in local government and advising technology companies on procurement.
