Michael Ramsay is the Digital Delivery Leader at HDR. Michael has over fifteen years of experience in the architectural and construction industry, with a focus on Building Information Modeling (BIM) and project delivery.

Michael began their career as a Design Coordinator at M. A. Mortenson Company, where they were responsible for the design coordination of multiple construction projects. In this role, they used BIM tools and strategies to coordinate the construction process and resolve issues of constructability, coordination, and planning. Michael also provided general advice and guidance on design and integration issues.

In 2008, they joined NBBJ as an Associate / Digital Practice Leader. In this role, they oversaw BIM implementation and planning, staff mentorship, training, process design, sustainability, and other BIM-related duties for the Seattle Healthcare Practice (100 FTEs). Michael was also a member of the firm-wide Digital Practice BIM leadership team, and provided general digital technical assistance, hardware and software evaluation, software vetting and testing, and architectural support on numerous healthcare projects. In recent years, they have focused on healthcare simulation and computational fluid dynamic simulation.

Michael Ramsay attended the University of Waterloo, where they earned a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) and a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.). Michael also has a B. Environmental Studies from the same school.
