James Aiken

James Aiken is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, currently serving as Vice President of Legal at HD Supply since August 2007. Aiken leads counsel for the Facilities Maintenance division, focusing on commercial contracts, litigation, intellectual property management, and regulatory compliance. Prior to this role, Aiken worked as Corporate Counsel for The Home Depot, where representation included managing over 40 domestic and international acquisitions valued at more than $8 billion. Earlier experience includes a senior associate position at Womble Carlyle, providing broad legal support in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate governance. Aiken holds a Juris Doctor degree from Mercer University and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
