Welcome to HEAD Engineering AB,

We are an innovative engineering company offering services covering the full spectrum of the project life cycle from conceptual/technology development to turnkey plant delivery for the process industry.

Our experience is in the Pharmaceutical, Pulp & paper, Renewable fuels, Fats & Oils, Potable & Industrial alcohol and Biotech industries.

One of our specialist areas lies within the Pulp & Paper industry, specifically the recovery loop process of kraft (sulphate) pulp mills. We have developed proprietary technology for the handling of kraft soap from the digester to the recovery boiler. This technology comes under our PINOLA kraft soap solutions portfolio and includes Pinola BLiSS and Pinola TOPP.

Pinola BLiSS effectively separates black liquor from kraft soap removing the unwanted soap from the black liquor stream to the recovery boiler thereby increasing the recovery boiler capacity and reducing evaporator fouling.

Pinola TOPP, our continuous tall oil production plant, increases available tall oil yield and quality. This is achieved due to our patented dynamic tall oil mixers, specific temperature and pH control which greatly increases the efficiency of the acidulation and splitting stages ensuring complete chemical reaction at near stoichiometric balance.

We offer an obligation free analysis of your kraft soap and a tailored solution with economic benefits analysis specific for your mill.

We look forward to meeting you.
