At Head First Studios, we are building a next-generation strategy game for PC that blends tactical depth with physics-based systems in a dark mythological world.

Founded in 2021 and based in Brussels, Belgium, we are an independent studio driven by a deep belief in the strategic potential of emergent gameplay. Our first title challenges players to master gravity, manipulate time, and command squads across floating islands in a sandbox battlefield that shifts beneath their feet.

Our core innovation is the integration of dynamic physics into the strategy genre.
Islands move. Units fall. Weather systems push formations into the void. Time zones slow or accelerate combat. Miracles erupt across the sky. This layered complexity demands real tactics, not just clicks per minute.

We are:

- A fully remote team blending technical craft, historical storytelling, and game design experimentation.

- Backed by leading institutions such as the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF), Flanders Game Hub, and Spielfabrique.

- Developing in Unity, with a custom hybrid ECS/OOP codebase and a focus on long-term scalability for Early Access and modding.

We are currently preparing a vertical slice for early 2026 and a formal announcement campaign later this year. Our strategic roadmap includes Early Access on Steam, PvP multiplayer and user-generated maps.
