Headstart Residential Care provides therapeutic residential care for children between the ages of 8 - 18, particularly those on the autism spectrum, with complex needs and that have suffered previous trauma. Our model of care is deeply rooted in therapeutic practices, with staff working closely with therapists to ensure consistent, individualized support. The PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) Model, developed by Dr Dan Hughes, is the foundation of our practice with staff and therapists integrating Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Protecting Rights in a Caring Environment (PRICE) and a deep understanding of Autism, ADHD and other diagnosis

Each child receives a bespoke care plan, designed to meet their unique needs in a safe, structured, and supportive setting. Children are supported teams of highly experienced, well-trained carers who are committed to achieving the best outcomes for the children.

Headstart Reisdential Care prides itself on being small and personal, therapeutic home environments. Children in care also have the opportunity to attend Headstart School, ensuring continuity between care and education.
