Dan Dushime is a Software and Machine Learning Engineer currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering with a concentration in Machine Learning at the African Leadership University. Dan founded AI for Hope, an initiative aimed at teaching AI and technology skills to refugee students in Rwanda, promoting innovation and empowerment within refugee communities. Currently, Dan serves as a Software Engineer Fellow at Headstarter, focusing on building AI projects for social good, and is also a Software Engineer Intern partaking in a software development trainee program at The Gym. Previously, Dan gained experience as a JavaScript Software Engineering Apprentice at the Brainiacs ALU coding Club, where they worked on projects using front-end and back-end frameworks.
