Marissa Wirth

Marissa brings years of project management and healthcare experience to Headstrong’s Impact team, where she officially joined as Product Manager after joining the team as a consultant in early 2022. Marissa grew up on the West Coast of Canada and has lived in New York City for the past five years with her husband and rescue dog.

Prior to joining Headstrong, Marissa worked in the oil and gas industry in Northern Canada before relocating, and pursuing a new career in healthcare once she moved to the U.S. With a passion for helping others, Marissa identified a critical need in the healthcare space for access to quality care and to eliminate any stigma associated with mental healthcare. She worked as a program manager in hospitals, collaborating closely with past and current oncology patients, and helped pioneer an emotional support program for patients and their families. With mental healthcare access at the forefront of Marissa’s passions, she felt strongly about joining a nonprofit that devoted itself to this specific cause and aligned perfectly with her own personal values.

In her free time, Marissa loves to go to hot yoga and take Peloton classes, cook new recipes (comfort food is her favorite), and go on adventures to Central Park and the beach with her dog, Ford.
